Terms and Conditions

STARTING YOUR PROJECT

We only accept UK projects.

We accept the customers own models for painting. At present we are not accepting hordes.

  • After submitting your quotation form, responses will on average take 1-3 working days. Our quotes are fully costed and detailed.

  • We queue our projects. A Queue Time will need to be waited out before your project goes into Working Time. We attempt to keep these waits to a minimum. You will be advised on the queue time.

  • To lock your project into our Queue, you must pay a deposit. We ask for 30% of a project’s cost to be paid upfront. The remaining costs applicable are paid at the end of a project.

  • Payment methods accepted are via bank transfer.

  • Quotes will estimate queue and working times. We do our best to keep to our stated timeframes. Clients requesting changes can affect them.

PAYMENT

  • Payment is taken via bank transfer. You will be provided with a detailed invoice with the necessary bank information to make payment.

  • Throughout the project and upon a project’s completion, photographs are sent to the client.

  • Upon confirmation of the client’s satisfaction with the results, a completion invoice for the remaining sum is sent out.

  • This completion invoice must be paid before goods are released.

DURING THE PROJECT

  • Photographs of the work will be made available during and at the end of the project. You are welcome to get in touch at any stage and ask how things are going.

  • During a project, clients are very welcome to request modest alterations, i.e. alterations that will not add a significant quantity of working time to the project. Adding some transfers or changing the colour of a boot, or equipment pouches would be good examples.

  • If a client wishes changes that significant add to the working time, if redpaw Studio is not at fault, additional costs can be incurred. For example, if a client were to change colour scheme near the end of a project, we would charge appropriately for the extra working time.

SHIPPING

  • Postage is always fully insured for the value of the model kits and labour involved. There are no exceptions to this rule.

  • Under no circumstances are we responsible for negligence on the part of the postal service resulting in damage or loss of parcels.

  • We only deliver within the UK.

CANCELLATIONS

  • Once a project has been deposited, should you wish to cancel during Queue Time, you may incur costs if project materials have been sourced. In such an event, we will post the purchased kits and materials to the client. The postage for this will be paid for from the client’s deposit. The remaining deposit funds will be refunded.

  • Once a project begins work, should you wish to cancel, a fair and proportionate amount will be charged to cover the work that has been done thus far. Should this exceed the deposit amount paid, further funds will need to be paid by the client to meet the balance for the project models to be released.

  • If you have provided your own models for painting, you will be charged for labour and materials used.

NON-PAYMENT

  • If the completion invoice is not paid within the requested timeframe, the client will then be given a final warning that they have a week (7 days) to resolve the bill, or their models will be put up for sale to recoup the debt they have incurred. This will usually be done by on eBay.

  • If the studio’s costs are covered fully by the sale of the items, any surplus funds will then be refunded to the client.

  • If the studio’s costs are not covered by the sale of the project, an invoice for the remaining services rendered will be issued.

  • This final invoice must be paid within one calendar month, or the studio will initiate appropriate proceedings to settle the matter as our legal rights permit.

STORAGE

  • If upon completion a client needs to defer payment, such as due to unforeseen financial misfortune, they can request temporary storage of the commission.

  • Whether we will store the project will be at our discretion, and subject to a fee.

  • The fee for storage and length of storage time will be presented to the client upon request.

  • This fee will be added to the original completion invoice.

  • Storage can be requested for up to a maximum of two months. After this point, payment must be made as per the amended invoice in full.

  • If the client does not wish to accept the storage fee suggested, the project enters the one calendar month period for completion payment described above in the NON-PAYMENT section, and the process described after it will remain the same.

  • If storage is agreed upon, but payment is not made by the end of the storage period agreed, the one-week final warning period described above under the NON-PAYMENT section will apply, after which, models will be put up for sale. The process then continues as described in the NON-PAYMENT section above.
